From the maker
Nobody gets into her kitchen. Death did not change that.
Mother Grisel ran the castle kitchens for forty years and she does not care that the castle has been empty for most of them. Anyone who comes down the back stairs gets the full treatment: arms out, cleaver up, frying pan swinging, mouth open in a scream that was probably about mud on the floor. The apron is still tied, the cap is still on, and the cleaver still has a chip out of the blade.
The Widest Pose In The Range: Her arms go out to either side, so she takes more table width than any of the others and makes a great centrepiece in a group shot. The cleaver and the pan are the two flat faces on the model, ideal for a metallic or a dark wash with a sharp edge highlight. The layered, ragged skirts below the apron are the most dramatic fade in the set: let a thin glaze pool in the folds and it does most of the work.
