Copyright & DMCA Policy

Last updated 2026-07-26

Draft — pending legal review. This is a working draft, not yet a binding policy. Final wording will be confirmed by counsel before launch.

Howdoicomputer, LLC ("Plukio") respects the intellectual-property rights of others and responds to valid notices of copyright or trademark infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and applicable law. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

Reporting infringement

If you believe content on Plukio infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and enough information for us to locate it (such as the listing URL).
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf.

Send notices to our designated agent at [email protected], or by mail to Howdoicomputer, LLC, 1650 NW 21st Avenue, Portland, OR 97209, Attn: DMCA Agent. [Plukio will designate and register a DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office — TBD.]

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent that includes your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, your contact information, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. We may restore the material as permitted by law.

A faster path for shop owners

If the content at issue is your own shop's and you simply want it off Plukio, you don't need a DMCA notice — opt out and we delist the shop; see plukio.com/bot.

Repeat infringers

Plukio delists the shops and terminates the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Trademark concerns

For trademark or other intellectual-property complaints, contact us at the same address with a description of your rights and the allegedly infringing material.

Misrepresentation

Under the DMCA, you may be liable for damages if you knowingly materially misrepresent that material is infringing or was removed by mistake.
