From the maker
Both hands up, fingers spread, and the room gets hotter.
The cult that tends the burning temple calls it Cinderwrath and swears it answers prayers. It does not. It answers fuel. It rises out of a churning mass of smoke at its feet, the body thinning into licking tongues of flame as it climbs, and at the top a fanged face looks out through hair that streams upward into one long spire of fire. Both arms are raised and the clawed fingers are splayed, which is the pose of something about to throw itself at you.
A Flame You Can Light From Inside: Clear resin is the best possible starting point for fire. Work inks from yellow at the core, through orange, to red at the tips of each tongue and the colour glows rather than sits on the surface. A grey wash on the smoke billows at the base makes the flame look like it is lifting off them. Or leave it clear and call it witchfire.
