From the maker
The lid was sealed. She did not need it open.
Countess Morwen Vey was laid in the finest tomb in the crypt, carved with pointed arches on every side. She did not stay there. When the dead stir, she sits up straight through the stone with her shroud dragging behind her, her face pulled back almost to the skull, mouth open in a scream and both arms thrown out toward whoever was foolish enough to come down the stairs. Of everything in this set, she is the one built to start the fight.
A Ghost and a Piece of Terrain: The tomb is a proper piece of scenery: a stepped plinth, a run of gothic arches down each long side and cracked stone panels between them. Paint it as stone and the translucent ghost erupting from the lid pops in a way no floating figure can match. Her shroud pools across the top and spills over every edge, so a pale glaze running into the arches ties ghost and tomb together. Her skeletal face and clawed hands are the sharpest detail on the piece.
