From the maker
Both hands on the grip, blade over his head, and he has been about to swing for three centuries.
Ser Haldane was the prince’s sworn sword and he was on the wrong side of the castle when it happened. He has been making up for it ever since, attacking anything that comes through the gate with the overhead cut he never got to deliver. The mail coif frames a skull with long hair still trailing out behind it, a dagger rides at his hip, and his shield has gone onto his back because he needs both arms for this.
The Only Fighter In The Household: Of the six, he is the one built for a fight, and the sculpt shows it: the longest single element in the set is that blade, angled up and out past the frame. The heater shield on his back carries a rampant lion in low relief, the best freehand surface in the range if you want to pick it out in heraldic colour, or leave it clear and let a wash settle in the recess. Mail on the coif and sleeves takes a dark wash beautifully.
