Somebody has to give the dead their orders.

A spiked crown, a high fur collar and robes hanging in strips: this necromancer dresses like royalty because, as far as his army is concerned, he is. His staff ends in a hook with a skull lashed to it, and his free hand is open, mid-command. On foot he stands over a slumped body that will be getting up shortly. Mounted, he rides a nightmare steed with a ram’s skull for a head, horns curling back, a ragged mantle of tattered cloth hanging over bare leg bones.

Two Versions, One Character: Choose the foot model for a skirmish wizard or the mounted version to lead from the saddle. The mounted model ships as two pieces, rider and steed, for an easy glue fit.

A Painter’s Note: The fur collar and the steed’s shredded mantle both drybrush well, and the skull on the staff is a good focal point for an edge highlight or an object source glow.

On the Battlefield: The general who raises the Shambling Dead and the Skeleton Warriors. Pair him with the Invocation markers to track what he summons.

At the Table: A campaign villain in two acts: met on foot in his crypt, then fled from as he rides out at the head of his horde.
