The necromancer’s clerk files this one under “volunteers.” Ten villagers who stopped breathing and kept walking: a farmhand still gripping his wood axe, a widow in a burial gown with a spear she never learned to hold, a big man whose gut has given up on his belt, and a forked pole carried like a pitchfork at harvest. Up front, a sword arm and a banner made from a gibbet and somebody’s last shirt.

A Mob With Character: Crab Miniatures gave every body a different reason to look dead. Torn sleeves, open ribs and rotted hems give a wash plenty to settle into, and the two robed women break up the silhouette of the rank so it reads as a crowd, not a block.

On the Battlefield: The anvil of any undead line. Cheap, slow and impossible to scare off, they hold a flank while the knights do the work. Pair them with the Zombie Invocation markers for units that rise mid-battle.

At the Table: A ready-made horde for a village that buried its dead too shallow. Run them in waves of five and the party will feel the numbers.

Building a bigger unit? Each set is 10 models, one of each sculpt. Set the quantity to 2 for a 20 model regiment, or 4 for a horde. Kings of War unit bases line up the same way: two Troop bases make a Regiment footprint.
