From the maker
One hand open, one hand on the rod, and the spell is already halfway out.
Master Ostrevan casts with his whole body: feet planted wide, cape thrown back, fingers hooked as if he is pulling something out of the air rather than throwing it. The collar stands up behind his head like a wall, his robe is cinched with a long beaded sash, and a pouch hangs at his hip for whatever the next spell needs. He looks like a man who has rehearsed this moment, and he probably has.
A Cape That Frames Everything: The cape spreads almost the full width of the base, so its inner face becomes a backdrop for the whole figure. A deep colour inside with a contrasting robe makes the pose read from across the table. The beads on the sash are crisp individual shapes that are easy to pick out with a fine brush, and the raised collar is a clean surface for a lining colour or trim.
