From the maker
The plan was simple. Tie someone to a post, wait in the trees, and hope the beast comes before the rope gives out.
Stripped to a loincloth and lashed to a rough wooden stake with coils of rope across his chest and waist, this poor soul is screaming at the darkness, arms straining out to his sides against the ropes. Maybe he volunteered. Maybe the village drew lots. Maybe he is the one they think is cursed, and this is how they plan to find out.
A Story in One Figure: The stake rises well above his head, giving the figure a tall, distinctive silhouette. The rope coils are crisp and easy to pick out over the skin, and the open, screaming face is a great test piece for shading. A natural wood brown on the stake grounds the whole figure.
