Borys tells the stories. Helga knows which ones are true.

Grey hair pulled back, sleeves rolled and a hand planted firmly on her hip, Helga balances a tray of three foaming tankards like she has done it ten thousand times. She runs the inn while Borys talks. She notices who drinks too much, who leaves before moonrise and who comes back in the morning with mud on their boots and no memory of where they slept.

A Steady Hand and a Full Tray: The tray and tankards are crisp, chunky details that make her readable from across the table, and the long skirt and layered apron offer generous fabric for blending. She shares a floorboard base style with Borys, so the pair look right side by side.
