This salt cellar was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using a brown speckled stoneware clay. It was bisque fired and carefully glazed on the inside with rich brown glaze, the outside was left unglazed and lets the natural raw stone speckling of the stoneware to show. It was then high fired in my kiln.
