This set of four dessert dishes were handcrafted on my pottery wheel using a white stoneware clay. Each plate was imprinted with a botanical design around the rim. They were bisque fired and glazed with a dark blue underglaze inside the design and then a clear transparent glaze over the entire plate. This allows the natural color of the stoneware to show through. They were then high fired to cone 6 in my electric kiln. Each plate varies slightly in size and shape as they are each hand crafted.
