Four yarns, twisted into one. The melange of these socks is not printed or piece-dyed; it comes from four different cotton yarns plied together, so the color sits in the thread with a fine, broken texture rather than as a flat tone. The yarn itself is spun by air-twister, a method that locks the fibers together for a thread with more strength and body than conventional spinning gives — which is what lets UES make a sock in 100% cotton, with no synthetic in the mix, and still expect it to last.

The socks are knitted on rare low-gauge machines in Japan, where the thick yarn is worked loosely into a plush, cushioned fabric that breathes the way only cotton does. Crew length, cut to sit above a boot or a rolled hem. Made in Japan.
