The unique mechanical structure of these machines applies no tension to the yarn during knitting, allowing the cotton's natural softness to remain fully intact while the fabric is knit at higher density. The result is a heavyweight tsuriami cotton jersey with superior hand feel, density, elasticity, durability, and character compared to any fabric produced on modern machines. Knit with thick-count cotton yarn, the cloth has a substantial weight, a smooth vintage touch, and the kind of natural aging character that only improves with wear.

The silhouette draws directly from vintage military T-shirts — a classic crewneck with quiet, considered detailing. The jacquard-knit ribbed vintage collar is knit individually piece by piece on a specialized knitting machine, while the shoulder line is reinforced with vintage-style binder taping to prevent stretching over years of wear. Construction is finished with expert 4-needle flat seam stitching (via Union Special 36200 machines) and narrow 2-needle seams — reducing seam bulk for exceptional comfort and clean stitchwork throughout.
