Hem details are crafted from a wool-nylon blend ribbing. Era-authentic details include a 1960s pull front zipper and a rhombus link pocket zip in a nickel-plated finish. The defining feature of this garment is the cape shoulder, also known as a cup shoulder.

Branded as a ‘Varsity Jacket’, the origins of this style trace back to leisure wear that was popular on the 1960s West Coast, particularly in San Francisco where it remains a cult favourite. Worn by movie stars like Paul Newman and James Coburn off-screen in the 60s, the simple and casual nature of the jacket endured and would remain a staple garment throughout the 70s and 80s when it became associated with hip-hop and skate scenes. It was famously worn by hip-hop artists M.C. Ren and Eazy E.

The BUCO CAPE SHOULDER JACKET / ENGINEERS is made from a lightweight cotton-nylon blend, its details include a full zip closure front and two zip closure front pockets. It also features an embroidered applique Buco logo, which can be seen stamped on the soles of the BUCO Engineer Boots. The Buco Engineers graphics to the back are produced in rubber print.
