A loose coat sewn from 2 vintage Japanese silk shibori fabrics. Shibori is Japanese tie-dye.

The lighter green collar has been appliquéd with small squares cut from the leftover scraps of the darker silk used for the main body of the coat.

The full collar can be spread out over the shoulders or folded in tight around the neck, like a shawl. There are pockets in the front under the collar. There is a dark green lining the collar and under the sleeves. The coat is fully lined with silk charmeuse.

Garment measures 56" at the bust and 37" length at center back. Oversize, one size fits most.

All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. The very special fabric used in this coat was woven and tie-dyed by Japanese artisans.

Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
