Both the warp and weft yarns are sulfur-dyed black, producing a deep, saturated black tone with subtle depth rather than a flat appearance. Woven on vintage shuttle looms at higher tension, the denim has a compact, resilient feel that maintains a clean surface while aging gracefully over time.

A defining feature of the Circle series is Japan Blue’s curved Circle waistband, engineered to follow the natural shape of the waist. This construction reduces gaping at the back and significantly improves comfort—especially in tapered cuts—allowing the jeans to sit naturally and securely on the body.
