Bauhaus geometric design in a three-deck set -- primary colours, basic shapes, the visual language of the Bauhaus school established in Weimar, Germany in 1919 by Walter Gropius. The Bauhaus brought together fine art and industrial design, producing works by Kandinsky, Klee, Moholy-Nagy, and Albers that still define what modern design looks like. The geometric style -- circles, triangles, rectangles in red, yellow, and blue -- has been reproduced more than almost any other 20th-century design tradition.
