Overview

Looking for a top-tier Japanese chef-knife blade that you can truly make your own? The Satoshi Nakagawa SPG STRIX Damascus Gyuto 210 mm Blade-Only arrives without a handle. For a customized handle consultation, contact [email protected]. Hand-forged in Sakai by master blacksmith Satoshi Nakagawa, this gyuto combines a striking etched-Damascus finish with next-generation SPG STRIX powdered stainless steel. Expect exceptional edge retention, stainless convenience, and a fine grain structure that sharpens easily. We received only two of these in a rare release from Nakagawa-san.

Common Questions

Q: Is this blade suitable for everyday cooking at home? A: Absolutely. The 210 mm length is the Japanese standard for an all-purpose chef knife, ideal for slicing proteins, chopping vegetables, and precise prep on a standard cutting board.

Q: Do I need to worry about rust on SPG STRIX steel? A: SPG STRIX is stainless, so normal hand-washing and thorough drying are all you need. Avoid dishwashers and hard surfaces to keep the Damascus finish pristine.
