During Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, festivities sugar skulls are a well-known part of the celebration and can be seen decorating ofrendas (offerings) to represent the deceased. Today, sugar skulls have become a staple of Mexican culture and are present all year round.

These beautifully made sugar skull candles are hand-painted by the talented hands of artisans in Tlaxcala, Mexico.
