What’s Inside
The Mexican Chillies offer four unique chillies:
Jalapeño Chichimeca
Guajillo Chilli
De Arbol Red
Red Habanero
Chilli 1: Jalapeño Chichimeca
Jalapeño Chichimeca is a Capsicum annuum chilli valued by spice lovers for its strong culinary traits. It offers a sweet, juicy flavour with thick, succulent skin, ideal for stuffing and jalapeño poppers. The heat level is 3,500–5,000 SHU, producing a long, deep burn. Pods are 8–9 cm long, 3–4 cm wide, start green and mature to red, often showing attractive corking and a juicy texture.
Chilli 2: Guajillo Chilli
Guajillo chillies (Capsicum annuum) are favoured for strong growth and a long harvest season. They provide a light, sweet, tangy flavour when fresh, and subtle smoky notes with cranberry-like tang when dried. Widely used in Mexican cuisine, they enhance dishes without overpowering them. Their heat is mild, rated around 2,500–5,000 SHU (approx. 3/15 on a mildness scale).
Chilli 3: De Arbol Red
De Arbol Red originates from Mexico and is used fresh, dried or powdered in Mexican cuisine. With its mid-level heat, this vibrant orange chilli adds a zesty kick to your culinary adventures, making it a favourite for those who crave a perfect balance of spice and flavour. 50,000 to 100,000 on the Scoville scale is the score. These peppers are slender and elongated, typically showcasing a vibrant red hue.
Chilli 4: Red Habanero
Red Habanero (Capsicum chinense) grows sturdy and compact, yielding heavily, up to 1.2 m in pots. It has classic tangy, fruity habanero flavour. Heat is very high, about 100,000–350,000 SHU (≈40× a jalapeño). Pods are wrinkled, tapered, starting green and ripening to red.
Plenty of Seeds for Your Garden
With 10 or more seeds per pack, the Ease seed pack provides an abundance of seeds. This implies that you will receive a minimum of 40 seeds when you buy the Ease seed pack, guaranteeing an ample supply for your gardening pursuits.
