This artful mug was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using white stoneware clay, it was then covered with black underglaze and hand carved and features several different flowers in the design. This method is called sgraffito. It was then bisque fired and glazed and high fired in my electric kiln.

This mug is not just a pretty cup but a work of art.

Approximate size: 3.5" across the top rim and 3.5" high, holds approximately 12 ounces of liquid.

*Due to the hand carved nature, the design area has a rough texture.

This is a special mug that should be used and enjoyed. While it is dishwasher and microwave safe, I would recommend hand washing when possible to limit the wear and tear that a dishwasher may have on such a special piece of art.
