A smooth oval shaped blue flame labradorite is set within a frame of life cast Alder wood twigs, collected from windfall in WA in 2025. Known to be a tree of strength and protection to the Celts, its lore in England was a bit more spooky as these trees generally grew in boggy or swampy places that were uninhabitable for humans. This tree also 'bleeds' when cut, its sap oxidizing to what was considered to be a blood color. This association led folk to link the tree to people, with some cultures believing the Alder was the first man.
