This salt cellar was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using a brown speckled stoneware clay. It was bisque fired and carefully glazed with a icy white glaze that has a soft blue hue and high fired in my kiln.

Wooden spoon shown is included.

For months I searched the internet to find a clay that has this depth of speckling in it. This particular clay comes from Canada, and while it is more costly than the local clays I use, I believe it's worth it to be able to make special pieces like this.

Approximate size: 2.5-3" high and 4.25" across the middle.

These are stock photos, your salt cellar will be very similar but will differ a bit because each is handmade.
