This large rustic serving bowl was created on my pottery wheel using a brown speckled stoneware clay. It was bisque fired and glazed with a modern matte white glaze that allows the natural speckling of the clay to show through. It was then fired in my kiln.

For months I searched the internet to find a clay that has this depth of speckling in it. This particular clay comes from Canada, and while it is more costly than the local clays I use, I believe it's worth it to be able to make special pieces like this.

Approximate Size: 10.25" across the top and 4.25" high. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
