This is Hearth and Altar's entry for Blizzard Battle 2026. We pushed our Olympian base to it's limits and when paired with the splash they will deliver a bone chilling cold that will last up to an hour.

Camphor spreads across a barren grove of dry cedar and lifeless vetiver. No growth. No warmth. No mercy.

When Persephone was taken, the earth did not mourn gently.

Demeter did not only weep. She withheld.

The soil hardened. The fields emptied. The air itself turned cold and still.

Nothing answered. Nothing grew.

Barren Earth is not a scent of life - it is the absence of it.

Dry soil. Cold stone. Open, lifeless air stretching to the horizon.

The cold does not arrive all at once.

It builds. It spreads. It lingers long after you think it should fade.
