I based this blend on a recipe for incense to invoke the angel, Shemhazai. In Enochian magic, Shemhazai taught mankind the secrets of civilization, fathered the Nephilim and led a group of angels called the Grigori.

In the Kushiel’s Legacy series, Shemhazai treasured all learning and in fact, a placard at one of his temples reads, “All knowledge is Worth Having”.

Shemhazai’s fragrance is frankincense, myrrh, French cypress, saffron, bergamot, teak wood, black pepper, sage, mahogany, and oakmoss.
