The bear did not give up the skin voluntarily.

This one moves on all fours with the axe trailing behind, and the whole of his back is covered by a bear hide worn head and all, the bear’s skull pulled forward over his own. Seen from behind he is a shaggy mound with an axe sticking out of it. Seen from the front there is a face under the muzzle, and it is grinning.

The Discriminating Detail: This sculpt and our bare-backed crawling giant share a pose, a base and an axe. The pelt is the only thing that tells them apart on a shelf, so look for the bear head over the crown. For painting they are opposites: this one is almost entirely deep-cut fur that a wash finishes on its own, while the other is bare skin that needs blending. Buying both gives you a matched pair with completely different paint jobs.
