Both the diamond and opal are set from behind to give them an illusion of being flush set.This is a natural "jelly" opal. It is not hydrophane and is just about the most stunning clear jelly opal I've seen. The base color is totally transparent with a brilliant wash of fire that dances through the entire stone in both indoor and outdoor light.
