From the maker

One of them is finished. The other one is not, and it is already moving.

The pair reads as a before and after. The first is bare, a slab of a body in nothing but a loincloth, surface pitted and thumbed and lumpy the way wet clay is before anyone smooths it, one fist cocked back at the hip. The second is the same mass wearing a full harness: a rune carved chest plate, a wide studded belt, an armoured skirt over segmented legs and heavy boots, with sigils cut across the shoulders and shins. Both faces are set into the same blunt scowl, which ties them together even though the finish could not be more different. Side by side they tell a story a single mini cannot.

A Sculpt With Two Painting Jobs In It: The bare one is almost all texture, so it lives or dies on a heavy earth wash and a dry brush, and nothing you do to the surface can really go wrong. The armoured one is the opposite: every glyph is a recessed line waiting for a contrast paint, and the plates are large enough to take a glazed ceramic finish if you want the two to look like fired pottery rather than mud.
