From the maker
They do not charge. They arrive.
Six of the recently dead, still wearing what they were buried in. One walks with both arms out and the fingers already curling. One has rotted down to a torso and a hanging shroud. A woman’s dress has gone to strips that trail behind her as she leans into the walk. They move at the pace of the slowest, which is exactly what makes a horde frightening at the table: it never breaks and it never turns around. Deploy them as the pressure that fills the room while the thing that raised them keeps working in the back.
A Horde Built to Read at Arm’s Length: The Lion’s Tower gave each of the six a distinct silhouette, so you can call out which zombie is which from across the table instead of squinting at six identical shufflers. The torn cloth is cut deep, which means one dark wash over a bone basecoat does most of the work for you. Spend your time on the exposed torsos, because that is where every highlight is going to land.
