Sword up, axe still on the belt. He has not decided which one you deserve.

Skarn is the armoured one. A long tapering blade is already overhead in his right hand while a heavy crescent axe stays hooked at his left hip, untouched, and the stance is wide and settled rather than lunging. The torso is covered in overlapping scale with a thick fur collar at the throat, and the arms are bare to the shoulder.

A Scale Armour At A Size You Can Actually Paint: Scale armour usually disappears at 28mm. On a model this large the individual scales are big enough to edge-highlight one by one if you want to, and big enough that a single wash reads correctly if you do not. Round bosses on the chest and belt break the pattern up so the eye has somewhere to rest. The bare arms then give you two large skin surfaces right beside all that metal, which is the contrast the model is built around.
