Colorful Anatomical Heart Mexican Milagro, or Tin Heart Charms, Handmade in Oaxaca, Mexico

Mexican tin hearts, also called milagritos or ex votos, are a typical Oaxacan ornament used for decoration. Tin work, known in Mexico as hojalata, is made by cutting, shaping, and embossing the pieces. Finally, a bright lacquer paint is applied to the tin to have the beautiful final pieces. In this case, artisans replicated the shape of a real heart and used a variation of colors and green to replicate the famous Nopal.

Hearts Milagros are usually a symbol of love, protection, devotion, and/or to ask for heart's health, which makes these a perfect ornament for your house or the perfect gift for a loved one!

Hand-made of aluminum.
