A necessary addition to any good soul-sucking spell, a dead man’s toe is surely more useful than the chocolate-covered finger of a man named Clark given to you by your master. (Hint: that’s actually candy, and therefore, useless.) Mary Sanderson, the less-appreciated-but-still-important Sanderson sister, is practical, adaptable, and most importantly, has a nose that could out-sniff a bloodhound … when it comes to sniffing for children, that is. Or scrod. Yeah, it’s a bottom dweller. Anyway, this scent doesn’t smell like an actual dead man’s toe, but it is dependable and reliable, just like Mary.
