From the maker

It is a holy symbol at the top and an axe just below it. Nobody in her order finds this contradictory.

Sister Ilde serves a faith that came up during a bad century and never quite put the weapons down. She carries the stave the way a standard-bearer carries a standard — upright, visible, meant to be seen from the back of a formation. The shield is for the people behind her. The axe is for the argument.

A Sculpt That Reads From Across the Table: Arbiter Miniatures kept the stave tall and unobstructed, giving her the highest, most readable silhouette in this batch. The broad shield face and the flat of the axe head are two large uninterrupted surfaces — between them you have room for an order’s heraldry without any freehand on a curved surface.
