From the maker
Birthday celebrations often promote self-worship by centering attention on the individual through lavish parties and gift expectations, fostering pride that conflicts with humility. This focus on self-glorification, rooted in pagan traditions like ancient Egyptian ruler worship, diverts energy from God’s purpose, draining spiritual vitality. Seeking validation through such events leaves one unfulfilled, chasing fleeting praise over eternal faith. Thus, excessive birthday celebrations are seen as spiritually bad, prioritizing ego over devotion to God.
