Lute on his back, sword in the dirt, and an expression that suggests the song went badly.

Rell Danno has been chased out of better rooms than this one and is unbothered, because the story of being chased out is worth more than the fee was. He plays first and fights second, and the sword in the ground is less a weapon than a punctuation mark — it says he is staying until he has finished the verse.

A Sculpt That Carries Both Halves: Arbiter Miniatures gave this one a grounded blade for a strong vertical and a slung lute for a soft diagonal, so the model reads as musician and fighter from any angle. The instrument’s body is a smooth wooden panel against layered travelling clothes — an obvious place to put your one warm colour on an otherwise muted figure.
