Product Description Inspired by the beauty of carnivorous pitcher plants, this sculptural lamp is made from solid Black Walnut, shaped and finished by hand to let the natural grain become part of the form. Warm amber light glows from within the pitcher, spilling softly through its carved openings and highlighting the curves and texture of the walnut. When turned off, it settles back into the room as a wooden botanical sculpture. A green woven cord follows the stem like a trailing vine, paired with brass hardware and a brass on/off switch. Each lamp is individually made, numbered, and finished with an engraved brass botanical plate. No two will be quite alike. Variations in grain, color, and carving are part of what makes each piece its own. Made slowly in the DuskWood shop from sustainably sourced hardwood, Luminosa is an object made to be lived with, not replaced.
