From the maker
Hazel Dickens. A notable West Virginian and a big inspiration to us here at Kin SHip.
(1925-2011) Born and raised in Montcalm, West Virginia. Hazel was an accomplished bluegrass singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. Her music was characterized by her high, lonesome singing style and her pro-union, feminist songs.
