From the maker
The axe is resting. The tankard is not.
Borrik Foamfist has one hand on a ringed haft with the blade set down on the flagstones and the other hand somewhere above his own plume. The coin purse hanging off the belt is fat, which explains the mood, and the plumed cap is far too fine for the mail shirt underneath it. This is a dwarf who spent the reward on the hat first.
Three Textures Meeting At Once: The chest and skirt are heavy looped mail, the beard is deep combed grooves, and the plume is a single broad feather with clean parallel barbs. All three sit within a few millimetres of each other, which makes this the most rewarding model in the range for a wash-and-drybrush painter, because one dark wash separates all three without any careful work. The tankard is sculpted with raised studs across the body, so it takes metallics far better than a smooth vessel would.
