8.3 ct Australian opal Ring with Montana Sapphires

A beautiful opal awash in ocean like waves of fire is complemented by the softer tones of un-heated Montana Sapphires.

This ring has history built in.

The opal was mined and cut in Australia in the 1980's by a US solider and later brought to the US where it was inherited by his son. I recently purchased this opal, along with several others.

The sapphires were mined by my own grandparents in Montana at one of the you-dig sites that allows you to sift for your own sapphires. I inherited these rough stones, along with about a hundred others and had them cut and have been using them in my jewelry for the past decade. They zero treatments.

The ring was lost wax cast and is made from solid sterling silver.

The opal is 8.3 carats

Sapphire total weight is 1.07 carats

Ring is 30mm long (about 1.2")
