Jild al-Sahra opens dark and dramatic. Saffron and leather meet a smoky, resinous oud, and a flash of raspberry brightens the first few minutes.

Rose comes through the smoke at the heart, rich and slightly jammy, so the blend reads as fruity rose and oud as much as leather.

Later, the leather softens into something closer to suede, over amber, incense and earthy patchouli. The finish is smooth, woody and gently sweet, with a faintly wild edge.

A bold scent for evenings and winter, for anyone who likes oud notes with real presence. A light hand is best.
