I read that most people die within a few years of retiring, so I've decided never to retire, and I've told my employer this, and they were thrilled. They think it's loyalty. It's the opposite of loyalty. I'm using them to stay alive. As long as there's a meeting on Thursday, I have to be there for, Thursday can't be the day. Nobody dies rushing to finish the quarterly reconciliation and free muffins going fast in the break room. There's always one more thing to get through first. I make sure of it.
