From the maker
The shield went up first. The sword is almost an afterthought.
Ordrun commands from the front rank, and the sculpt says so before you read a word of it. He carries a shield the size of a doorway, faced with rows of square studs and edged in spikes, and he holds it out rather than tucked in close. The sword stays low at his side. He is not swinging yet, he is pushing a line backwards, and the wide stance and the plume standing straight off the helm are what a giant looks like when nothing has made him hurry.
A Sculpt Built Around One Enormous Flat: That shield face is the whole painting job. It is the largest uninterrupted surface in the Medusa giant range, raised studs on a flat panel, so it takes a heavy wash and almost nothing else, or it becomes the clan heraldry for your entire warband. The rest of him is fussy by contrast: knotted rope belt against banded plate, spiked greaves, a wheel medallion at the chest. Get the shield right and the model is finished.
Technical Specifications & Product State:
Sculpted by: Medusa Miniatures
Status: Sold UNPAINTED in our standard dark grey resin.
Assembly: Supplied as a single piece, no assembly required.
Material: High-quality, durable resin.
Scale: True 28mm, sized for D&D, Pathfinder, and skirmish-system play.
Base: Integral scenic base included as sculpted.
Preparation: Thoroughly washed, post-cured, all supports removed.
Suggested RPG Use: Put him at a chokepoint. A fire giant with a shield that wide in a corridor or a gatehouse is a wall the party has to solve rather than a monster they can flank, and he holds that ground while the flail giant works around behind them. In a wargame he anchors a line the same way.
