The ruffled style of Renée’s sleeves has been popular for centuries. Though we’ve designed the Renée with a simpler, modern ruffled cuff, the style has been around since the 15th century, where it originated in Europe. There’s plenty of fashion history around the ruffle – a fabric fold that has been used throughout clothing pieces, from huge Elizabethan neck ruffles to layers of ruffles on the couture runway.

Adding the Renée tunic to the underlayers of your outfit will help you transform its time period, giving you the ability to fall back to Medieval times, or waltz around a Victorian or Edwardian era ball.
