Alder Ravenkeep has not spoken to a person in some years, which is not the same as not speaking. The bird goes ahead of him along the treeline and comes back with whatever it thinks he ought to know, and the arrangement has kept both of them alive through three bad winters. His beard has grown past the point of grooming into something closer to a garment. He does not consider this a problem.

A Sculpt That Rewards a Slow Brush: Arbiter Miniatures ran the beard down the whole front of the figure as one enormous textured mass, which makes it the easiest drybrush target in the range. The raven sits proud and fully clear of the staff, the branch-stave keeps its bark texture right to the tip, and the mossy stump underfoot gives you somewhere obvious to put your first bit of static grass.
