Ser Gawen Aldemar was trained to give warning first and has never once skipped that step, which is why the people who know him are more frightened than the people who do not. The shield is older than his order and came to him from someone who did not need it any more. He does not discuss that either.

A Sculpt With Two Big Canvases: Arbiter Miniatures made the shield face broad and gently domed with raised bosses, so it takes heraldry better than anything else in this range — and the shouldered blade gives you a second strong vertical to balance it. Layered plate, mail and cloak sit in clean bands, which makes this one of the easier models here to paint to a high standard.
