From the maker
He is standing in the only doorway out.
What makes this minotaur work is that he isn’t mid-swing. He’s braced: feet planted wide, shoulders squared, a heavy club hanging from each fist and no particular hurry about any of it. That reads across a table far better than an action pose does, because it puts the model in the posture of something blocking a route rather than something running at you. The clubs are the standout piece of sculpting: each one is a thick shaft crusted along its length with knuckled bone growths, ending in a blunt weight. A skull sits clasped at the centre of his belt above a long diamond-patterned tabard, and the head is genuinely bovine, with a broad muzzle, a heavy brow, and horns sweeping wide rather than curling.
A Sculpt With Somewhere to Put Your Effort: Youngho Son left a lot of bare chest and shoulder on this model, which is unusual and useful. It’s a large uninterrupted flesh surface, so it’s an excellent candidate for blending practice or for freehand scarring and tribal marking. The bone knuckles on the clubs and the belt skull give you three natural bone-white focal points to tie the model together, and the tabard’s repeating diamond pattern is deep enough to pick out cleanly without masking.

Suggested RPG Use: The obvious one is the labyrinth, and it earns it, but he’s better used as the thing that has been hired to guard a door, because the braced stance sells a negotiation as easily as a fight. Also works as an arena champion, a cult’s enforcer, or the single serious threat in an otherwise routine dungeon level. Pair him with the Giant Scorpion for a beast-pit encounter, or with the Goliath Barbarians when you need a warband whose muscle isn’t human.
