Reading and armed. Read that order again.

Ysolde Marrow has the scroll open at arm’s length and the dagger already low and reversed in her off hand. She is not consulting the scroll so much as delivering from it. The coat splits at the front and streams back off one leg, and the armoured guard strapped over the thigh says she has been interrupted mid-casting before and did not enjoy it.

A Blank Page In The Middle Of The Model: The unrolled scroll is a genuinely flat panel held up at eye height. It is the best freehand opportunity in this entire range and the one place a script, sigil or map will actually be seen on the table. Medusa gave it a soft curl at each end so it reads as parchment even left plain. Elsewhere the coat is deep-cut with long unbroken folds, which suits a wet-blended gradient far better than a wash, and the corset lacing is crisp enough to pick out with a fine brush.
