The name is two cultures in three syllables, which tells you everything you need to know about Thrael Amastan’s history. He’s been a mercenary on three continents, a prisoner on two of them, and a legend in at least one city he’s no longer welcome in. The sword goes wherever he goes. Everything else is negotiable.

A Miniature Worthy of the Table: Thrael Amastan is a sword barbarian with the bearing of a seasoned mercenary — not a tribal raider but a professional, which gives him unique utility in urban and political encounters as much as wilderness ones. The cultural ambiguity in the name translates to versatility in deployment: this miniature works in almost any setting.
